The foundation of business hasn’t much changed over time; it’s a centuries old idea. But the way that we conduct business has grown and advanced into something totally new.
And business is driven by the consumers, the customers. So it’s not that surprising that customers’ shopping habits are completely different as well; they’re pretty new age. Like, ordering your groceries and personal products online? That’s a new one.
And, naturally, your business logistics are probably trying to follow suit and keep up with the Jones’. It’s essential to stay on top of customer demands.
But, be honest – is your current logistics company really up for the job?
And if your performance is rocky, customer loyalty will go down the drain. It’s 2020 and customers expect their ordering process to be easy and efficient, not stressful and confusing.
So what do you do?
First off, grade your current logistics company. Are they a partner you can trust to keep the process running smoothly? The answer should be a clear yes or no.
If there are problems behind the scenes, they’ll translate over to customer experience, and the whole mess will blow up in your face. That’s a huge turn off for customers, especially when you’re supposed to be handling precious products like vitamins and supplements.
No one, that’s who. Personal care products and dietary supplements are some of the most important orders your customers place; many are fragile and perishable and they’re banking on you not messing them up.
So, again, what do you do?
If you’ve come to terms with the fact that your current logistics company just really isn’t cutting it, good. You’re up for a change. Now it’s time to act.
Hire a partner that’s got you at the top of their priority list. Heck, they’re not doing their job if they aren’t adjusting to your unique business needs and goals and producing the highest quality services possible. They should be willing to bend over backwards for you.
Please, for the sake of your customers.
If your logistics partner isn’t FDA Food-Grade certified to store these perishables safely, kick ‘em to the curb.
If your logistics partner doesn’t recruit only the best and most professional employees to take care of customer service matters, think again. You’ll know the difference between an uninformed/unfriendly rep and a motivated and knowledgeable rep. It’s hard to miss.
And if your logistics partner doesn’t care enough to deliver orders correctly, beautifully, and intact, move on. Customers can tell when you just don’t care.
When we say you can do better, we KNOW you can do better. Because our reputation will tell you we’re one of the best out there; one of the few that performs way above the industry average.
If you’re ready to jumpstart the new year, give us a call. We’d love to help you get started.
